The story of today’s Residence Alpina goes back many centuries. The property was first officially mentioned in 1619 under the name “Egghäusl” and is therefore one of the oldest houses in Tesimo. Its origins probably date back even further to the former Eckenhof farm, which was already mentioned in 1386.
A new chapter began for the house in 1942: our grandmother Maria Oberhofer Frei acquired the upper part of the property and moved in with her nine children. As the children gradually grew up and left home, the first guest rooms were created – the beginning of our long tradition of hospitality.
In 1960, the lower part of the house also became part of the family property. A few years later, the property was given the name Brunnerhof, named after the historic village fountain located nearby. In 1989, the house was extensively renovated and transformed into a modern holiday residence with apartments, lovingly managed by our mother Anni Kruselburger Frei.
